Quartz Africa is obsessed with data, especially the lack for Africa-focused data and data visualization. Through the chart-building training, quartz Africa aim to train reporters, academics and students to use Atlas, Quartz’ free chart-building platfrorm.
Charts made using Atlas and can be embedded in web pages or downloaded as jpeg pictures, making them easy to use in stories or on social media. That more visually compelling, gripping illustrations can be created.
The training will take place this third week in June, 2017 in Kampala, Uganda and Lagos, Nigeria.
