The Managing Editor of the Nigerian Compass Newspaper, Gabriel Akinadewo, has resigned from the organisation.
In a letter to the Chairman of Western Publishing Company Limited, publishers of Nigerian Compass and The Westerner, Aare Kola Oyefeso, Akinadewo thanked the Chief Promoter and the Board for the opportunity given him to serve the organisation since 2008.
The letter reads: Sir, I hereby resign as the Managing Editor of the Nigerian Compass. I want to thank the Chief Promoter and the Board for the opportunity given me to serve as the Weekend Editor, Editor and Managing Editor since May 26, 2008 when the newspaper hit the newsstand. Thank you sir.”
When asked about his future engagement yesterday, Akinadewo said he would team up with people of like minds to explore the fresh opportunities “in the modern journalism world”.
