NEW MEDIA TRAINING FOR YOUNG JOURNALISTS
Young journalists interested in attending a day training session on social media usage for news gathering and writing for the web are invited to apply to participate in a workshop scheduled for August 31 in Lagos.
Interested participants should preferably have a laptop and possibly Internet connection.
The lead facilitator for the training will be United Kingdom based Nigerian journalist and trainer, Ruona Agboroko- Mayer with work experience across print, wire service, online and financial news publications.
A former reporter/ columnist with Thisday Newspaper, Senior Reporter Next Newspaper, Ruona was Winner of the 2010 Future Awards’ Nigeria’s Young Journalist and Thomson Reuters’ FitzGerald Prize For A Young African Journalist (January 2010).
