The Executive of the National Association of Campus Journalists (NUCJ), Usmanu Danfodiyo University, (UDUS) Chapter, Sokoto has paid a courtesy visit to Vision FM, Sokoto to seek more mentorship opportunities for students of the institution and collaboration for an upcoming programme.
During the visit on Thursday, May 20, Abiodun Jamiu, the President of the association applauded the organization for its efforts in helping to mentor campus journalists in UDUS.
Jamiu told Media Career of the longtime relationship between Vision FM and campus journalists in UDUS noting that two students of the institution are currently working with the station.
“We went there to see how we can leverage more on this mentorship programme so that more campus journalists in UDUS will be able to benefit from the mentorship programmes.”
He said the association is planning to hold a symposium on Insecurity, Education, and the Role of Media which Vision FM has promised to support with resources and speakers.
Vision FM 92.5 is a broadcast radio station based in Sokoto, providing entertaining, educating, and News programmes.
NACJ UDUS is the coordinating body for all the five press outfits on the campus which includes Pen Press, UDUS, News Digest, Vanguard Press, Gamji Press, and Interwatch Pressboard.
