The Acting General Manager of Lagos Television (LTV), Mrs. Sola Kosoko has been officially appointed as the head of the station.
Mrs Kosoko’s confirmation was announced recently, marking a new chapter in her career.
She assumed the role of acting General Manager after the departure of Mrs. Siju Alabi in June.
Her appointment has been hailed as a recognition of her expertise and dedication over the years.
Kosoko started her broadcasting career in 1992, with the Radio Lagos/Eko FM, as an on-air presenter, before she joined LTV in 1999.
She was selected, after an audition, to become the new ‘Face of Lagos State Television’ during the era of Mr Jimi Odumosu, the then GM.
According to Newstip.ng, Kosoko became the face of Lagos Television, and ran the station’s flagship program, ‘AM Saturday live’, successfully. She led a female team to anchor the most watched programme on LTV, ‘Edition 12’, which ushered in the era of talk shows in the television station. She has also anchored over 15 flagship talk shows for LTV, and has read the flagship news on Prime Time.
