Journalists in the country have been urged to participate in Promasidor’s annual Quill Awards competition.
The competition is designed to reward excellent news reporting.
Promasidor’s Head of Legal/Public Relations Andrew Enahoro spoke on Wednesday on the competition when he visited The Nation in Lagos.
Enahoro said participation in the award would sharpen journalists’ knowledge and skills.
The categories for the awards include: Future Writer of the Year, Education Reporter of the Year, Brand Advocate of the Year and Best Report on Children.
Other categories are: Best Photo Story of the Year and Best CSR & Sustainability of the Year.
The Quill Award’s qualifying entry will run from April 1 to April 30, next year.
It will reward winners with sophisticated equipment and sound training.
The new Future Writer category, Enahoro said, would enable students in schools of journalism and mass communication to sharpen their writing skills and get rewards for them.
Participants are to log on to http://quillawards.promasidor-ng.com
The Managing Editor, Online of The Nation, Mr Lekan Otufodunrin, received the Promasidor team.
