#IWD2025: ‘Resourceful’ media women (1)

Women

One major way to accelerate action to enhance the status of largely disadvantaged women in the media in line with the theme of the #IWD2025 is to regularly provide them with resources, including learning opportunities through various platforms.

To complement the programmes and activities of media support organisations and institutions, in which only a limited number of female journalists can participate, female journalists can learn from the experiences of accomplished professionals, tips, ideas, insights, and other resources shared by some media professionals committed to enhancing the skills of their colleagues.

Some women journalists have voluntarily taken up the above roles because they love making valuable resources available to as many women and men in the media interested in learning as possible.

In continuation of our #IWD2025 special reports, we highlight the commendable efforts of Media and Communication specialist, Adebisi Adetunji, News Editor of TheCable, Goodness Chibunna and Media Consultant and CEO, Switch 24, Aanu Komolafe.
