As the Group Managing Director/CEO of Television Continental, TVC, Mr Andrew Hanlon steps down after seven years in office, Mrs Victoria Ajayi, the former Deputy Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will resume head of the broadcast organisation in May 2024.
Ajayi, who joined TVC in 2013 as Head of Finance, rose to Deputy Chief Financial Officer in 2017 until her announcement as the GMD/CEO on Thursday. She will be leading TVC’s over 550 staff across its channels–TVC News, TVC Entertainment, Max FM Lagos and Abuja, Adaba FM Akure– serving 24 million audiences daily.
Ajayi according to a statement by the company is a seasoned business executive, chartered accountant, a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and a member of the Institute of Directors and The Society for Corporate Governance, Nigeria.
She has finance career experience of over 15 years across sectors like banking, construction and now media with proven business leadership, board advisory, financial management and business strategy skills.
As a leader in the finance industry, she is an elected Global Council Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), founder of the ACCA Women Network Nigeria, cofounder of an electronic gift card company and board member of a fintech platform.
Ajayi has a BSc.(Hons) in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes University, a Master’s in Financial Management from Liverpool John Moores University, U.K. and an MBA from IESE Business School.
She is also an alumnus of executive programmes at Cambridge Judge Business School & Harvard Business School.
The new TVC CEO is a renowned Women’s Leadership advocate recognised as one of the Top 50 Women in Accounting globally & Top 100 Career Women in Nigeria. She has mentored many career women and spoken at many finance and women leadership events.

The mother of two who had chosen to do accounting and finance despite peer pressure to study sciences in high school is a Financial Literacy Champion, Woman and Leadership advocate of global repute.
